The Software Scan searches the system for traces of software wallets, management software for hardware wallets and common mining software. The most common software wallets, management software for hardware wallets and mining software are already integrated as standards.

Hardware-Wallet Scan

The Hardware-Wallet Scan analyzes the Windows registry for the VID+PID identifiers of known hardware wallets. The basis for this is an integrated list comprising a total of 34 different hardware wallets. If one of these registered hardware wallets has been connected to the system in the past, this is displayed as a hit.

Browser Scan

The Browser Scan analyzes the history files of the popular browsers Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Opera using defined regular expressions (regex search patterns) from the 30 largest crypto exchanges and trading platforms to specifically search for relevant traces of online crypto exchanges.

Key Scan

The Key Scan analyzes files in the formats .txt, .csv, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .odt and .ods for the presence of public and private keys. Regex search patterns for common cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, Ripple and Dogecoin are preconfigured by default.

Seed-Phrase Scan

The Seed Scan searches various file formats, including .txt, .csv, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .odt and .ods, for seed phrases, which are checked against the BIP39 word list. As soon as at least 12 consecutive words from the BIP39 list are recognized, the corresponding file is marked as a hit.

Full Scan

The full scan executes all of the above individual scan modes one after the other. All results found can then be exported collectively in HTML, JSON, CSV or XML.
